Epica singer Simone Simons has introduced her debut solo album Vermillion .
The Dutch symphonic metallic vocalist will launch the report by way of Nuclear Blast on August 23.

Vermillion ’s lead single, Aeterna , is now streaming.
The tune is a collaboration with Ayreon mastermind Arjen Lucassen.
Simons and Lucassen touch upon the brand new monitor: “Aeterna is the large, epic opener of the album and it comes with this superb video too, directed by Patric Ullaeus.
“It positively sounds the closest to Epica and Ayreon, mixing highly effective Latin lyrics with a contact of an oriental really feel. We’ve tried to strike a steadiness between the mighty, bombastic sounds and the extra atmospheric components.
“Because it’s the primary monitor folks will hear from this album, it’s tremendous vital to us and we’re actually excited for folks to listen to it!”

Epica launched their newest full-length album, Omega , in 2021 and the EP The Alchemy Undertaking in 2022.
In March, Simons instructed Summa Inferno {that a} new Epica album will probably be launched in 2025.
