“I HAD A DREAM!” screams Phil Rollins (no relation) as id id id burst into an excellent triple unhealthy acid membraonic racket; and it’s a superb racket. Following on from their 2022 Cornflakes monitor / single / factor, they navigate the Rock n Roll Corridor Of Fame to launch ‘Three Homes EP’. (id id id by the way, is pronounced id – as in lid).

The opener is named I’m A Shit; undecided what it’s about and I don’t actually care. What I do know is that on listening, it makes me wish to scream in tortuous tandem with it. Sully And The Siren is up subsequent, with a post-post-punk anti-groove and pained vocals. Shades of Sheffield’s Mouthparts and London’s Informal Nunput id id id in excellent firm.

A music title of, No, I Don’t Need To Meet Your Spouse brings up many photos in my muddled thoughts. It’s brooding and seething with out truly kicking off and is all the higher for it. The subsequent monitor is Origami (In The Trenches), one other nice title (and music to match). It’s probably a euphemism, and possibly not a really good one to go with this evil heavy-treading slab of noise because it tramples the senses (PLAY IT LOUD).

We end with Harry Beef Ears – and for somebody who loves a one-minute blast of hardcore punk – this is available in at 6:57 minutes! Marching like a mantra that doesn’t wish to cease, prodding you to stand up and proceed till the longest fade within the Northern Hemisphere descends into darkness. Sensible.
