It is perhaps smidge over-the-top to say that Rose Resort’s Jordan Reynolds was on the finish of her tether when she wrote “Fruit Tree” … however solely a smidge.

Now a well-regarded contributor to Atlanta’s music scene, Reynolds was simply 19 when she began enjoying keyboards with Kentucky-based indie prog-rockers Buffalo Rodeo. From there, she offered help for the likes of Susto and fellow Atlantan Faye Webster—and he or she mined these connections for A Pawn Give up, a moody singer/songwriter affair offset by some intense rock moments. The album was coproduced by Reynolds with Atlanta-based engineers Damon Moon (Bathe Alone) and Graham Tavel (Materials Women) and blended by acclaimed producer Drew Vandenberg, who’s labored with Webster, S.G Goodman and Of Montreal, amongst others.
The “Fruit Tree” video was directed by Hannah Welever of Chicago’s award-winning Good Hassle Movies, with assist from cinematographer Andrea Kinnerk.
“The world Jordan created throughout the music was actually stunning and instantly spoke to me,” says Kinnerk. “As soon as I realized of our mutual love for David Lynch, it was a enjoyable problem to attempt to emulate his model in sure scenes.”
